Non-destructive testing

Acciai Speciali Zorzetto have a line dedicated solely to the non-destructive testing of steel bars state drawn, peeled and / or adjusted by technique with eddy current and ultrasonic waves in order to notice the smallest imperfections and to achieve levels of quality assurance of the product in line with the current market needs more intransigent.

The plant has 5 different test unit:

1. MAGNATEST (ANTI-MIX TEST): to detect possible bars with different chemical composition;
2. CIRCOGRAPH: to detect possible surface discontinuities arranged in longitudinal position along the entire length of the bar;
3. DEFECTOMAT: to detect possible discontinuities arranged inside the section over the entire length of the bar;
4. ULTRASOUND: it measures possible discontinuities arranged inside the section on the entire lenght of the bar;
5. DEMAGNETIZER: to detect the possible residual magnetism of the steel bars;

The control line is comply with the European regulatory framework applicable for the sector and the specific requirements of the final user.
